"The earthquake that no one expected: Bargagli and Davagna," how to deal with the earthquake where the earthquake never happened before

I don't take risks best practices present at the meeting

Un momento dell'incontro "Il terremoto dove nessuno se lo aspettava: Bargagli e Davagna"

On September 22 and October 4, 2022, two earthquakes, with local magnitude of 4.1 and 3.5, affected two municipalities in the Genoa area, Bargagli and Davagna. The earthquakes struck a wide area, from the Levant to the hinterland up to Genoa, frightening the population and alerting scientists. The main concern was due to the unusual occurrence of phenomena with such intensity in the history of the area.
This led to the idea of "The Earthquake that no one expected  The event was attended by seismologists and geologists from the University of Genoa, who also manage the seismic network of the northwestern area of the country on behalf of Ingv; their role consisted in explaining the earthquakes' nature of the past months, while also addressing general aspects such as formation and measurement systems.

Earthquake risk also means knowledge and prevention. Thanks to I don't take risks, volunteers from the municipal group had the opportunity to share with citizens and students from the local scientific high school the behaviors to adopt before, during and after an earthquake to reduce any possible consequence.

The event focused on many topics: ranging from earthquake phenomena to study methodologies, passing through insights on seismic sequence and the results that emerged from data analysis, obtained by exploiting the network comprising six new seismographs installed by the University in Davagna, Lumarzo, and Cornua plus a separate seventh one installed at the end of November in the municipal group's headquarters.
