Io non rischio at La Sapienza: a workshop to present 2022 edition goals and future challenges

Professor Angelo Masi outlined the efforts of ReLUIS and all partners participating in the campaign

Io non rischio a La Sapienza

Training more and more volunteers, spreading the culture of self-protection and informing citizens about best practices of civil protecrion. These were the focus themes in the Angelo Masi's speech during the workshop presenting DPC - ReLUIS 2022-2024 activities at the Faculty of Architecture of La Sapienza University in Rome: an event which, on July 5 and 6, was attended by numerous speakers including Fabrizio Curcio, Head of the Department of Civil Protection, Edoardo Cosenza, President of the ReLUIS Consortium, and Titti Postiglione, Deputy Head of the Department of Civil Protection.

Professor Masi indicated the objectives of the Io non rischio 2022 edition and the steps to be taken to get to "version 2.0": a permanent communication campaign that will have to become increasingly multi-risk and digital, without giving up the periodic meeting between volunteers and citizens in squares throughout Italy.

The challenge that awaits civil protection organizations, regions and campaign partners is to raise the number of entities involved in the project and expand the places where the message of Io non rischio can be spread: schools, firms and all the main gathering places.

In order to accomplish this, a change of perspective is required: we cannot wait for citizens to approach the campaign but have to take Io non rischio where citizens live and interact every day. A challenge we can overcome together.
