The National Day returns on October 13
The event will mark the end of the National Civil Protection Week

On Sunday, October 13, the National Day of the I don't take risks communication campaign on the culture of prevention and good civil protection practices is scheduled in hundreds of Italian squares.
The initiative, which will coincide with the end of National Civil Protection Week, will engage thousands of volunteers. They will set up information points across Italy to raise awareness about our country's natural risks and the proactive role each of us can play in reducing these risks by taking action before a disaster occurs.
This year, the national event will coincide with the International Day for Natural Disaster Reduction. Both events aim to raise awareness and prepare communities to tackle the new challenges of climate change. By adopting proactive behaviors, communities can enhance their safety and that of others from the outset.
The campaign communicators will focus on earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, forest fires, and the Stromboli, Volcano and Campi Flegrei volcanoes. They will distribute campaign information materials and organize specific activities to engage adults and children.
In the coming days, we will provide an interactive map on this website showing the squares of the National Day events. You can filter the results by region, province, municipality, or the type of risk faced by the volunteer organizations taking part in the initiative.
The I don't take risks campaign is promoted by the Civil Protection Department in collaboration with Anpas - National Association of Public Assistance, Ingv - National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, Reluis - Network of University Laboratories of Earthquake Engineering, Cima Foundation - International Centre in Environmental Monitoring, Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces and ANCI - National Association of Italian Municipalities.
