A new memorandum of understanding was signed this Monday, November 21, by the Head of the Department of Civil Protection Fabrizio Curcio and the President of the Paralympic Committee-CIP, Luca Pancalli. It also marks a reaffirmation of the longstanding commitment between the parties and demonstrates the willingness to cooperate together to promote mutual support and the diffusion of the culture of risk prevention with special attention to the theme of disability.

The protocol also comes to seal the active collaboration since 2004 between the Department and the Europe Consulting cooperative. Also, through the "Abili a proteggere" project, the relationship between emergency and disability has grown.
The group has been working alongside the I don't take risks campaign since the beginning in the dissemination of good civil protection practices, bringing a concrete contribution to the theme of raising awareness among people with disabilities on the importance of preparing to cope with an emergency.

President Pancalli has always granted his support for the campaign over the years, and also thanks to the collaboration with Polizia di Stato and Cip, Paralympic athletes of the Fiamme Oro have been its testimonials and supporters, as well as enthusiastic guests in the two editions of the National live streaming of I don't take risks, held on October 15.

The willingness to work together is constantly renewed in every activity and initiative. In this regard, a shared operational long-term path will be defined, aimed at giving new drive to the dissemination of common values, promoting the development of actions to support the relationship between disability and civil protection, and creating a network capable of channeling all aspects on the subject towards a unified and shared perspective.
