The new videos accessible on I don't take risks materials are online
The videos were produced in collaboration with the group Abili a proteggere

A new playlist "Io don't take risks information materials in LIS with audio description" addressed mainly to people with sensory disabilities is available on the I don't take risks YouTube channel. This is a series of videos aimed at making the contents of the leaflets and fact sheets produced in these years on various risks accessible: earthquake; flood; tsunami; Phlegraean Fields; Vulcano; Stromboli and forest fires.
The need to create new, accessible products stems from the conviction that prevention is a topic that concerns everyone, and everyone can start to work on it.
The videos were made with the participation of Abili a proteggere, the working group involved in the theme of disability in civil protection in collaboration with the Department.
The pathway. The I don't take risks informative materials were translated into sign language thanks to the involvement of a deaf sign operator with the support of an LIS interpreter for the video representation of the topics discussed. For each risk, three videos were filmed relating respectively to the contents of the first and second page of the leaflet and the fact sheet, with the intention of producing short and more accessible videos. To ensure full accessibility, the videos were provided with subtitles and audio description so as to facilitate their usability also by people with sensory (hearing and visual) and intellectual disabilities. The videos, already screened at the recent event dedicated to the world of disability "EXPO AID Io persona al centro", are also available on the new website www.iononrischio.gov.it.
