The initiative is the first of a series of events organised by the University to spread the culture of prevention among students

A seminar dedicated to I don't take risks and good civil protection practices is scheduled for today, 12 April, in the Aula Magna of the Department of Human Sciences at the University of L'Aquila.
\nThe initiative, promoted by the University in collaboration with the Civil Protection of the Abruzzo Region, is aimed at over 200 students in the fourth year of the Faculty of Primary Education with the aim of spreading correct information on the risks impacting the territory and spreading the culture of prevention among young people.

To welcome the students, in the space in front of the Aula Magna, there will be an information gazebo on seismic risk with volunteers from the Coppito Pro Loco association who will explain what an earthquake is and what to do, right from the start, to consciously contribute to reducing the risk.

\n

In the Aula Magna, there will be a space dedicated to flood risk and the timeline where students, supported by volunteer communicators, can look back over the past calamitous events that affected the territory over time.,to understand the risks to which it is exposed.

Part of the seminar will also be dedicated to I don't take risks School, the project that brings the culture of prevention into primary school classes, with the presentation of the information materials used during the school meetings and a playtime, carried out in collaboration with experts from the INGV-National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, where the children will interact and experience the difference between the concepts of risk and danger.

The seminar is the first in a series of meetings, dedicated to Civil Protection themes and the dissemination of knowledge on natural risks, that the University of L'Aquila is planning to organise during the year with the support of the regional Civil Protection and representatives of the Italian Society of Pedagogy.
